Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

EdgeFinder is a sports-betting research and analytics tool operated by EdgeFinders, LLC. We are not a health service and do not collect medical information. This policy exists because a small amount of the data tied to our responsible-gambling features could be treated as "consumer health data" under Washington's My Health My Data Act (MHMDA) and Nevada's SB 370. It applies to Washington and Nevada consumers and describes how we handle that specific data.

1. What consumer health data we collect

Only what you give us when you choose to use a responsible-gambling feature:

• Responsible-gambling settings you turn on in the app (for example, limits or reminders).
• Self-exclusion requests — your email address and a flag indicating you asked us to close your account and stop serving you.

We do not collect diagnoses, treatment, biometric, precise-location, or any clinical or medical data. We do not infer a health condition from your betting activity.

2. Why we collect it and how we use it

• To provide the responsible-gambling feature you switched on.
• To honor a self-exclusion request — close your account, cancel your subscription and stop charges, suppress marketing to you, and disconnect any linked Kalshi credentials.
• To keep a minimal record (your email and an exclusion flag) only for as long as needed to keep honoring an active self-exclusion.

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the ones above.

3. Where it comes from

This data comes only directly from you, when you use a responsible-gambling feature or send us a self-exclusion request. We do not buy it, and we do not collect it from other sources.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising or with data brokers. We disclose it only to the service providers strictly necessary to carry out your request — our email provider (Resend) and our hosting/security providers (Cloudflare, DigitalOcean) — under contracts that limit them to processing it on our behalf. We do not share it with any other third parties or affiliates. We will only ever share consumer health data beyond this with your separate, valid written authorization, or where the law requires it.

5. Your rights

If you are a Washington or Nevada consumer, you have the right to:

• Confirm and access the consumer health data we hold about you, including who we shared it with.
• Delete it and withdraw your consent to its collection and use. Note: if you have an active self-exclusion, we retain the minimal record needed to keep honoring it — deleting it would let you back in, which is the opposite of what you asked for; we delete it once the exclusion is lifted or no longer needed.
• Appeal if we deny a request.
• Not be discriminated against — we will not deny you service or charge you differently for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] (you do not need an account with us). We respond within 45 days, and may extend once when reasonably necessary. If we deny your request you may appeal by replying; if we deny the appeal, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.

6. No sale, no geofencing

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use geofences around any health-care facility to collect data or send you messages. We do not collect precise location at all.
